What's included and what moves the price
A garden reset is a one-off visit that takes a garden that has got away from you back to a state you can keep on top of. This page explains exactly what we do, what we leave out, and what makes one garden cost more to reset than another. We don't publish prices because two gardens the same size can be very different jobs. You get one fixed price, in writing, before we start.
When a garden needs a reset, not a mow
Regular maintenance keeps a tidy garden tidy. A reset is for when it has stopped being tidy: beds full of weeds, grass creeping into paths, weeds and moss in every paving joint, and edges you can no longer see. It is also the usual job before a rental inspection, a sale, or when you have simply run out of weekends. If you are not sure which you need, send us a few photos. We will tell you honestly whether it is a reset or just a tidy-up.
We start by walking the whole garden and taking before photos of each area from fixed spots, so the after photos match. We agree anything you want left alone.

Hand weeding by the root
Whole-root extraction without sprays, so the weeds stay gone longer.
Mowing and crisp edging
Tidy mow finish with sharp edges along beds, fences, and paving.
Paths and driveways blown
Leaves and clippings cleared from hard surfaces for a clean sweep.
Green waste sorted
Named on the quote, not buried in the labour. Stacked, loaded, or skipped.
What's included
Whole-root hand weeding of lawns and garden beds
Weeds and moss cleared from paver joints, path cracks and hard-surface edges
A tidy mow and edge to finish
Light trimming back of growth over paths
Beds raked level
Paths and hard surfaces blown or swept
Green waste handled the way you chose
Before and after photos
Not included unless we agree it in writing
Palm skinning
Work above about 2.5 metres
Tree or hedge reshaping
Spraying
Returfing
Moving stored items, rubbish or building materials. If you need any of these, ask and we will tell you whether we can include it or who to call.
On tired, sandy Perth couch lawns, one visit will not produce a show lawn. The weeds, edges and waste are what change straight away. If you want the lawn to keep improving, we can come back about four weeks later, once the first cut has settled. That revisit is optional and quoted separately.
What moves the price
We price the job, not the hour. These are the things that make one reset bigger than another—and they're all reflected in your one fixed price.
01
Weed depth and spread
Seedlings come out quickly. Weeds with deep taproots or runners through a bed take longer to remove properly.
02
Paving joints and cracks
A long driveway or big patio with weeds in every joint is careful, slow work. More joints mean more time.
03
Green waste volume
How much comes out of the garden is often the biggest single factor on a large reset. Volume drives the haul.
04
Access and layout
Narrow side paths, steps, and distance from garden to kerb all affect how long the job takes. Tight spaces slow us down.
05
How much of the garden
You choose: front only, front and back, verge, side runs. Bigger scope means bigger reset.
06
Team size needed
Bigger or more neglected gardens are done by a team of two or more so they finish in one visit, not spread across days.
07
Distance from Perth
Most of our work is in Ferndale and surrounding suburbs. Further out, a travel fee is named on the quote and we ask for a minimum booking.
None of these is hidden. Every factor is named on your quote, and there are no surprises when we arrive.
Green waste sorted, not just swept aside
Every quote names green waste on its own line, so you see exactly what disposal costs before you agree. Three clear options, one fixed price.

Who does the work
The Garden Reset is Clarence Ling's business, based in Ferndale. Raphael taught us the standards every job must meet. Clarence took weeding further, with specialist tools and whole-root extraction. Clarence quotes every job and is on site for every reset. Bigger jobs bring in a team so they finish in one visit.
